Sam
It was a recently refurbished and quirky hotel in a very convenient area, just off several great sights and the east bay and west bay of contra costa county and Safeway supermarket and the John Muir historic home. The stay was good because of the comfy location of the property. Also, Rankin Aquatic Center was 2 miles away from the property.

Last time we stopped we had a new-fashioned, spotless room with a comfortable bed. Particularly good location, it was not far from stores, downtown area, and Safeway supermarket and the John Muir historic home. We found there plenty of restaurants to eat, like Domino's Pizza that is only 10 minutes' walk away.
There was too firm bed in my room.

Good and ideal location in a very convenient area with lots of services, you can walk everywhere. The rooms offered are large and luxurious with fridge as well as microwave & fridge.

The room was updated with smoke detectors for safety measures. The location was favourable and ideal and right by freeway. Spent a nice evening at Domino's Pizza, located right by the venue.

Bathroom was large and the room was spotless and updated. The hotel was in a good location, in a very convenient area with lots of services. Besides, it was next to west bay of contra costa county, and National Park.
All was good.

Hotel was newly remodelled, excellent services, and it had favourable location in Martinez area. Location: the property was next to Concord as well as shops: )
Didn’t dislike anything about the property!

Convenient location for exploring the area. Comfortable room with bathtub. Tastefully decorated and peaceful ambiance. Easy commute to Albany. Prefer rooms with bathtub over others. First choice for a stay in the area.

There was absolutely nothing I liked about Muir Lodge Motel. The worst experience in my life. Please use the demolition ball and kindly destroy it and turn it into a parking lot.You can make better use of that for the people of Martinez.I Am being harsh?YES.Me and my wife just got robbed $165.00!We would have been better off sleeping in our car or on a bus stop bench.
Rude and unfriendly guy at the office, smelly and dirty room that reaks of bad odor, broken end table,AC doesn't work, refrigerator doesn't work, rude and inconsiderate guests who play music, walk around the premises slamming their doors past midnight or early in the morning around 4am.One guest knocked on everyone's doors and tried to open ours looking for a bible, thin walls, traffic noise of cars from the street, and the most horrific, our toilet got clogged for no reason when it was not even in use!We just returned from all day at the hospital for my mother's surgery.Me and my wife heard unusual noises from the bathroom and I went to investigate and noticed the water slowly rising to the rim.I Asked the same rude guy at the office and he seemed upset that I woke him up from his sleep when he emerged from the back of the office. He gave me a plunger and went back to his nap.I Guess I was supposed to do it myself?Like I clogged it!!!Bad old pipes? The guy who cleans the room was nice enough to smoke a cigarette sitting down on a bench right in front of our room that says "This is a non smoking room" while hre was on his break. This is the worst experience ever and the worst motel establishment in the entire world!!Please kindly refund our money!Oh wait!YOU Are not going to!nor are you going to read this or email me back regarding our stay in hell.

Hotel was clean and location was great. The room was ready when we arrived and and staff at the desk was pleasant. The gentleman even asked us if we had aaa so he could give us an additional $5 room discount - which we did and he did. The room is no frills, but it was clean and the bed wasn't worn out. The tv channel line-up was satellite (Direct or Dish - don't remember). There was a microwave oven in the room and a small refrigerator. Everything was clean - which is a big thing me me and my wife.
Kind of noisy being right on Alhambra, but the location - right there in Martinez - was fantastic. With the ac on we really didn't hear the traffic either (or we got used to it). The continental breakfast consisted of a couple of wrapped breakfast rolls and coffee/coffee maker - both in the room. For $70 a night, still a good deal, and plenty of restaurants in the area of you want more for breakfast.

Too much street noise, septic odor in room at night. Went to use the jacuzzi tub and was informed it cost an additional $40. We had not asked for a jacuzzi room but felt that since it was in the room we should be able to use it.

The location was perfect and close to family. The decor was tasteful and clean. The building was in great condition. The manager was very helpful and friendly.
Although the air conditioning unit was rather loud, we found it easy to become accustomed to it. There was a bit of traffic noise that was also easy to become accustomed to.
